Wikis

I think the use of wikis could be very useful for educators if everyone was familiar with the tool and was willing to use it. You could use it to share a lot of information and they could make staff meetings shorter :)! However, I don't know that I would use it too much in a second grade classroom. It seems like it might be a little much for them! I see how it could be useful as a sharing tool for older students.

Well, I just registered and learned about the awesome del.icio.us! I can't tell you how useful this is for me. I can't begin to count the number of times I have been at home and needed the URL for one of my bookmarks from school or vice versa. This is a great idea! I will definitely continue to use this. What a great tool in this day in age when people might use 3 or 4 different computers in their life.

Pageflakes

I just made my pageflakes page today. I love that! It is great to be able to have one window open that has everything that you want to see. The RSS feeds are a great way to continually be able to keep up on different topics or your friends!

My journey through 23 things and more......

I have just started my journey on through the 23 things technology course offered by the fabulous Ryan H. and the beautiful Beth C.. I have a master's degree in technology in education. However, I find myself lacking in a lot of technology knowledge. So, I decided to attempt this class to learn more about some of the fun things that are out there for me to use! I am excited about what there is to learn. Hopefully, my baby will start sleeping through the night so my future blogs will continue to make sense and not just be useless babbling.......
