Wikis

I think the use of wikis could be very useful for educators if everyone was familiar with the tool and was willing to use it. You could use it to share a lot of information and they could make staff meetings shorter :)! However, I don't know that I would use it too much in a second grade classroom. It seems like it might be a little much for them! I see how it could be useful as a sharing tool for older students.

I have done some looking and found some examples of wikis in primary classrooms. You are correct that they are primarily teacher-led, but a good way to introduce students to the concept:
